The Houston Astros are set to be on the search for a new manager. Dusty Baker is retiring from his position as skipper of the Astros. Houston was eliminated in Game Seven of the American League Championship Series on Monday. The 74-year-old has managed for 26 Major League seasons and led Houston to a World Series title in 2022. Baker has spent the last four seasons as the manager of the Astros after stints leading the Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants. The prolific toothpick-chewer is the 12th manager in MLB history to reach two-thousand wins and his 57 postseason wins rank fourth all-time.
