Drug smugglers who called themselves the Suicide Squad are headed to federal prison. Elias Herrera recruited two others to be part of the operation in South Texas. They stuffed packages of heroin and fentanyl into their car's secret compartments and drove it in from Mexico. They got away with it for months until they were caught by drug-sniffing dogs at a Border Patrol checkpoint. A federal judge sentenced Herrera to spend more than seven years locked up.
