DeMeco Ryans is bringing in a familiar face to join his coaching staff in Houston. KPRC2 is reporting that the Texans are adding former 49ers defensive backs coach Cory Undlin as the team's new defensive passing game coordinator. Undlin is the third coach from San Francisco to join his new staff. He joins new offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, chief of staff Nick Kray, and safeties coach Stephen Adegoke. In other news, the team is choosing not to retain assistant coaches Tim Berbenich, Ilir Emini, Pep Hamilton, Kenyon Jackson, Miles Smith, George Warhop, or Ted White. The Texans are retaining special teams coordinator Frank Ross and head strength and conditioning coach Mike Eubanks.
