Widespread cancellations of Southwest Airlines flights are continuing for a fourth day today. The Dallas-based carrier scrubbed 2,500 flights on Wednesday nationwide, and has already canceled 2,300 more today. Travelers are still trying to re-book their flights and find their luggage, and plans for a second holiday weekend in a row are likely to be affected. Southwest's website tells passengers affected by cancellations or delays between December 24th and January 2nd to submit receipts so it can honor "reasonable requests for reimbursement for meals, hotels, and alternate transportation."
