U.S. Customs and Border Protection is announcing more agents will be outfitted with body cameras. The deployment will include six-thousand cameras on the front of their uniforms and the agent will activate the camera. The agency says the cameras will further strengthen CBP's ability to document and review enforcement encounters and use of force incidents in addition to investigating allegations of misconduct. CBP added that cameras will also provide greater transparency when it comes to interactions between the officers, agents, and the public.
