The Bexar County Office of Emergency Management is operating eight cooling centers around the county. The cooling centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice to help residents who may not have air conditioning. The centers are in the Freeman Coliseum, the County Fire Marshal's Office on Southton Road, Gateway Fellowship Church, and five Emergency Services District stations. Bottled water and ice are available at the sites, and service animals are allowed. The city of San Antonio has also opened a number of cooling centers around town.
