Grand Jury Indicts Mom Whose Baby Is Still Missing

A San Antonio mother whose baby son is missing now faces a charge of tampering with evidence. A grand jury indicted 20-year-old D'Lanny Chairez on Tuesday. Chairez and her 18-month-old son James Chairez were reported missing in early January. Investigators finally found her, but the baby wasn't with her. She was arrested in March on suspicion of child abandonment or endangerment. Chairez reportedly told police she was thinking of putting the boy up for adoption. When detectives searched her trailer, they found a sheet for a crib that had a human bloodstain on it. The boy is still missing.
