500 Unaccompanied Illegal Immigrant Kids Arrive At Freeman Coliseum

Five hundred unaccompanied migrant children are now housed temporarily at the emergency intake site at the Freeman Coliseum. The kids arrived in San Antonio on Monday evening. Federal officials say the facility will provide shelter for boys between ages 13 and 17. The Expo Center's potential capacity is 21-hundred beds, plus 300 medical beds. The government is renting the arena from Bexar County for 60-days. The Department of Homeland Security will provide security at the intake center.
