City and county officials are asking the state to send more coronavirus vaccine doses for Bexar County. San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott on Sunday requesting the doses ASAP. No-cost mass vaccination sites start distributing vaccines today at the Alamodome and two other sites in the city. Nirenberg says 26-thousand appointments for mass vaccinations were filled almost immediately over the weekend.
