Abbott Meets With Nasdaq Officials Over Possible Move To Texas

Nasdaq may be the next business concern to flee to Texas to escape a high-tax state. Gov. Greg Abbott and other governors met with Nasdaq officials on Tuesday, apparently to discuss a potential move. The exchange is struggling with high taxes in New York, as well as New Jersey, where state officials may impose a fee on data transactions. Nasdaq is the world's second-largest stock exchange after the New York Stock Exchange.
