Cowboys Will Go With Dalton Once He's Cleared

The Cowboys are on a bye week, but when they return executive vice president Stephen Jones said Andy Dalton will be the quarterback if he is available. Garrett Gilbert was impressive in his first NFL start Sunday, a loss to the unbeaten Steelers. He completed 21 of 38 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. Dalton has missed the last two games with a concussion and COVID-19 positive test. Jones told the Dallas Morning News once Dalton is cleared, he fully expects him to start. Dalton went to TCU, while Gilbert went to SMU.
