Cowboys To Start Gilbert Or Rush At QB

The Cowboys will have their fourth different starting quarterback in five games when they play the unbeaten Steelers on Sunday. Head coach Mike McCarthy said either Garrett Gilbert, a SMU alumnus, or Cooper Rush would start. The two have combined throw nine NFL passes and have never started. Rookie Ben DiNucci started in the 23-9 loss in Philadelphia, throwing 40 times for 180 yards and losing two fumbles. Andy Dalton was in the concussion protocol last week and tested positive for COVID-19 this week. Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending ankle injury on October 11th.
