University Hospital Sterilizing, Reusing N95 Masks

University Hospital in San Antonio is acting to prevent a shortage of N95 masks as it deals with the coronavirus outbreak. University Health System says they're sterilizing used masks with hydrogen peroxide so that they can be reused safely. The hospital already uses the same procedure to decontaminate surgical instruments and other medical equipment. The Centers for Disease Control found the process doesn't change the fit of the mask or damage the filtration system.
