Sessions Considers Run For Flores's Congressional Seat

Capitol Hill Re-Groups One Day After Surprise In Speaker's Race

A former GOP congressman from Dallas is considering another run, this time in a different district. Pete Sessions was defeated in last year's election. Now he's a possible candidate for a seat being left vacant by the retirement of Republican Bill Flores of Bryan. Waco is also in Flores's 17th District, which is about 80 miles south of Sessions's previous 32nd District. Flores says his constituents are lukewarm about a Sessions run. Sessions was born and raised in Waco, but hasn't lived there lately.
