Houston braces for more flooding

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner is urging residents to be prepared for more flooding over the next couple of days as more storms move into the region. Turner urged residents to say at home, if possible, and to stay off the roads. He said assets are being deployed throughout the city, "we have more rescue trucks/boats now than we had during Harvey. 60 barricades are propositioned near streets that flood. Do not attempt to drive through high water.”

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo says people should not go out this evening because heavy rain is expected to fall. They're also encouraged to stay off the streets and to not drive through high water or around barricades. Hidalgo says people shouldn't risk going through flooded out streets. Over ten inches of rain fell on parts of the area on Tuesday. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Saturday night.
