A man who pulled out of a northeast side Whataburger early today ended up in a 'whatawreck,' News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man in his forties was leaving the Whataburger at Nackgdoches and O'Connor shortly after midnight this morning when he apparently hit the accelerator rather than the brake, and smashed into the wall of the Security Service Federal Credit Union building next door.
The man was rushed to the hospital with cuts. The incident caused an estimated $12,000 damage to the bank building.
The driver is being tested for possible DWI.
