Astros Handle Rangers

Evan Gattis hit a two-run homer and drove in three as the Astros defeated the Rangers 5-2 to open a four-game series at Globe Life  Park.  Alex Bregman also left the yard, while Jose Altuve was 3-for-4  with an RBI and two runs scored.  Gerrit Cole improved to 7-and-1,  striking out eight over six innings of one-run ball.  Houston has won  two straight to jump to 39-and-25.  Cole Hamels was charged with all  five runs in seven-and-a-third innings to drop to 3-and-6.  Texas was  2-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left eight on base.  The  Rangers are 27-and-38.
