Mass Exodus From Blue States Continues, How Will It Affect Red States?

According to new data, the mass exodus from blue states to red states continues. And the numbers are staggering.

"Evidently, things are beginning to speed up again, really not much of a shock to me though" said Chuck DeVore, Chief National Initiatives Officer with the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

What is a shock? According to the numbers, over the next 3 years, both New York and California are each set to lose 800,000 people - per year.

"Essentially, what I think you're going to see is California mortgaging their future" DeVore told KTRH, "This is the sort of impact that might really hit those states 10-15-20 years down the line."

Something that will ultimately be really good long term, for red states.

But in the meantime?

"It really depends on where the red state is, and what sort of culture they have" noted DeVore, "Polling suggests that Californian's that move to Texas are by and large, a little more conservative than native born Texans."

Which is why the polling also shows that most who flee blue states, end up voting red.
