Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced he is opening an investigation into Drone Nerds, LLC, due to the company’s connection to a Chinese robotics company.
According to a press release from Paxton’s office, Drone Nerds may be distributing products made by Anzu Robotics, a known CCP affiliate.
Paxton has issued a Civil Investigative Demand to Drone Nerds, hoping to determine whether or not they are misleading customers by advertising Anzu Robotics products as being “headquartered and operated within the United States.”
He said in the press release: “I will thoroughly investigate any potential threat to the privacy and security of Texans and hold any company that enables CCP surveillance accountable.”
