Federal Court Upholds Texas Ban On Ballot Harvesting

While Americans continue to wait for Congress to pass the SAVE Act, a federal court finally ruled and upheld Texas' ban on ballot harvesting.

"Texas' ballot harvesting ban is entirely legal and constitutional, and appropriate for Texas to implement" said Ken Cuccinelli, former Acting Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Attorney General of Virginia, "So, this is a big win for election integrity in Texas."

But, with that said, there is still more work to be done.

"I certainly think it would be critical to pass the SAVE Act" Cuccinelli told KTRH.

In addition to that, there is also a new report about concerns here in Texas, over the new centralized voter registration system.

"Texas has done a fine job" noted Cuccinelli, "There's more work to do, but they've done a fine job. This ballot harvesting ban is part of that effort."
