A flood watch is in effect until 7 am Monday for areas around San Antonio, as heavy storms move in.
The Flood Watch means the potential for strong storms that bring heavy rain leading to flooding are possible.
The watch issued by the National Weather Service includes a large portion of Central and South Central Texas, including many areas east of San Antonio, including the City of Austin metro area, as well as Comal, Guadalupe, Hays and DeWitt counties.
Some areas east of San Antonio could see up to an inch of rainfall, the heaviest expected along the I-35 corridor between Austin and the Alamo City.
And a special flood advisory is in effect until 6:15 pm for northern Bexar and Comal counties.
Severe weather may be an issue; storms will have the possibility to become strong to severe. Large hail and damaging winds are the main concerns. This risk will continue into Sunday night.
