It is shocking, but it is true. There's a group of 20 House Republicans who are trying to push a new 'bipartisan' amnesty bill. To help cover up the true details, it's called the 'Dignidad Act'.
"This is a grotesque betrayal of everything we ran on" said Texas U.S. Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) during an appearance on the Clay & Buck Show, "I'm kind of shocked we're even talking about it, but here we are and that's why I've been fighting so hard to kill this bill."
The left is trying to present it as a bill that sounds nice on the outside, but the devil is in the details.
"This is amnesty, plain and simple" Gill told Clay & Buck, "The 'Dignidad Act' would allow 12 million illegal aliens who are currently in the United States and subject to deportation, to be given legal status and stay here. It would hamstring the President's ability to deport more illegal aliens, and it would also allow illegal aliens who were previously deported under Trump's first administration, to come back into the United States."
It's the wrong kind of bill, at the absolute wrong time. So why would these radical Republicans do something so crazy?
"The end game for these Republicans, is so that they can keep their seats. They are worries about challenges from Democrats" said Jessica Vaughan, with the Center for Immigration Studies.
That would include Texas Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who is supporting the bill.
