Liberal Belief In Government A Reason Why They Deny Confronting Fraud

In the last couple months, independent journalist Nick Shirley, working with just a couple people and a camera, have uncovered billions of dollars in government assistance fraud. A childcare fraud scandal among the Somali community in Minnesota was unearthed by him, which resulted in indictments and billions in fraud discovered. Similar situation in California, where Shirley discovered billions in hospice care fraud.

That is just two cases of what are surely thousands of similar instances across all 50 states. The total number of fraud committed dollar wise hurts the brain to consider. Yet amid all this being uncovered, liberals have stayed silent. Actually, they have been worse than silent, they have been actively against anyone exposing the fraud. They have said it is divisive, racist; you name it. But why? It should be popular among all parties that fraud, especially when committed by illegals, it bad.

Yet, liberals cannot take this commonsense stance because they have backed themselves into a corner. For years, they have pushed government programs, saying it is the key to a better life, world peace, all the necessary buzz words. Now, admitting the programs are a waste of time and money would mean admitting their entire ideology is on shaky ground. Something of which they cannot and will not ever do.

Nathaniel Blake of the Federalist says this is just the latest sign of hypocrisy among the party.

"If they really thought government programs are so important...shouldn't they be outraged when they see someone ripping off the programs?" he says.

That is the thing though with Democrats. They pick the strangest, most absurd hills on which to stand. They refuse to open Homeland Security funding, demanding restrictions on ICE. Even though ICE is funded for four years through the big, beautiful bill. This is another one of those hills.

Just admitting this was bad, and going after the fraudsters, would do wonders for their collapsing poll numbers. But they just will not do it. Beyond the cognitive dissonance and delusion, they wrap themselves within, confronting this also means facing two things.

One means facing tough questions about society, culture, and humanity as a whole. The other is their biggest enemy: reality.

"It means asking what is wrong with culture and our hearts," says Blake. "If you admit there is fraud and admit government programs are not always the solution...and in fact a lot of times make things worse...you have to question your entire worldview if you are on the Left."

But as we have come to learn, facing adversity, tough questions or reality is not in the Democrat skill set. They instead just kind of stomp their feet around, yell at a bunch of cameras and demand change.

Then they retreat, without any proposal of real change, and throw more money at their fears. They have essentially created a safe space funded by government money.

"It is a lot more comforting to just believe more government spending is the way out, and it will make society better," Blake says.

This cognitive dissonance and delusion they face is what is causing the party to collapse. They lack any real self-reflection and awareness. Just admitting the problem would help them gain a shred of the respect back they have lost.

But instead, they will keep fighting against the fighting of fraud. Another one of the many stupid hills they decide on which to plant their flag.
