Police in Texas are responding to news reports that the mother of the suspected Walmart shooter in El Paso called them with concerns about her son purchasing a gun. In a statement, the Allen Police Department said they did a search of their phone records and identified a call that came in at 11:15 a.m. on June 27th. An internal security camera was able to record one side of the conversation. The Public Safety Officer answered informational questions about firearms possession and ownership. It says they inquired about the emotional state and intentions of the person who ordered the weapon. It said no further action was taken because the caller was not concerned about the threat her son posed to anyone.
