In the aftermath of high winds hitting Houston, there is now an active wildfire now burning in Matagorda County.
According to the Matagorda County Emergency Operations Center, the fire is burning just west of the township of Midfield. 65 acres have burned so far, and is zero percent contained.
At the moment, FM 111 is closed at County Road 454.
People are urged to avoid the area as fire crews work to douse the flames.
