A Minnesota father has been arrested for allegedly killing his daughter's boyfriend. A criminal complaint obtained by KMSP says that Micahel Lee Laflex, 45, has been charged with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting 23-year-old Bryce Brogle.
Officials said that Laflex believed that Brogle was abusing his daughter. He contacted the landlord where Brogle and his daughter lived and was told that she had two black eyes. Laflex then told the landlord he would kill Brogle and had already dug a hole.
Brogle's girlfriend reported him missing on October 28, after he never returned from a trip to a storage unit two days earlier with her father.
Police received an anonymous tip from somebody who told them that Laflex told a family member that he killed Brogle at the storage unit and then dumped his body on public land.
Investigators searched the storage unit and found traces of blood. They were able to locate his body and determined he was killed by a "distant gunshot wound to the back of the head."
Laflex remains jailed on a $2 million bond.
