Senator Rand Paul wants to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci's position at the NIH.
The Kentucky Republican has publicly feuded with Fauci during the COVID pandemic and is authoring legislation that would divide Fauci's role into "three separate new institutes."
Fauci is the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at NIH.
In an OpEd for Fox News, Paul said -- "No one person should be deemed 'dictator in chief'...no one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans."
