Lawyers for Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot say her policy denying interviews to white reporters is over.
Democrat Lightfoot caused a stir when she announced she was only granting one-on-one interviews to Black and brown reporters upon the two-year anniversary of her taking office.
Conservative activist group Judicial Watch sued Lightfoot, saying she violated equal protection rights under the Fourteenth Amendment.
Yesterday, a judge ordered Lightfoot to clarify the policy, but her lawyers said it wasn't necessary because it was no longer in effect.
