Don't expect to see any Miami Dolphins players take a knee during the National Anthems at Sunday's game against the Patriots. In fact, don't expect to see any Miami Dolphins players at all during the anthems.
In a video posted on the team's official website Thursday, Dolphins players revealed they intend to stay inside their locker room during performances of "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "Lift Every Voice."
The clip features a montage of players, each chiming in with comments like, "Now there's two anthems; do we kneel? Do we stand?," "If we could just right our wrongs, we wouldn't need two songs," and "We don't need another publicity parade." The video wraps up with Head Coach Brian Flores saying, "Before the media starts wondering and guessing, they just answered all of your questions. We’ll just stay inside."
