Iran Makes Arrests In Ukrainian Airlines Crash

Iran announced Tuesday that arrests have been made related to last week's accidental shooting down of a Ukrainian passenger plane.

According to a judiciary spokesperson quoted in state media, "extensive investigations have taken place and some individuals are arrested."

In a televised speech earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani revealed that a special court would be convened, featuring a "ranking judge and dozens of experts."

Calling the incident "a painful and unforgivable" mistake, Rouhani admitted, "The responsibility falls on more than just one person," adding that all involved "should be punished."
