President Trump will sign the big budget deal and declare a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexican border. In a statement today, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump will take executive action to stop a "national security and humanitarian crisis at the border." An emergency declaration could allow Trump to divert Defense Department funds to build a massive border wall. The bipartisan budget deal would avert another partial shutdown as one-quarter of the government runs out of money again at the end of the week. It gives Trump far less than he has been demanding for border barriers.
