Nike is choosing former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and National Anthem protester Colin Kaepernick as the new face of its "Just Do It" campaign. Kaepernick tweeted a photo of himself with the slogan "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything." Nike is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its "Just Do It" slogan. Kaepernick is suing the NFL on accusations that teams are colluding to keep him off the field over his National Anthem protests.

I've been wearing @Nike since we used to make the "e" at the end silent. They have made a HUGE mistake here taking sides with this dope. "Colin Kaepernick" doesn't have a clue about which he allegedly is protesting. And, Nike just lost a LONG-time customer.— Joe Pags Pagliarulo (@JoeTalkShow) September 3, 2018
the saddest thing about the Colin Kaepernick story is the guy has talent and had an amazing career underway. He let someone get in his head, convince him he was oppressed and that people like Castro were good and the US is bad. But, there's no excuse for @Nike's move here.— Joe Pags Pagliarulo (@JoeTalkShow) September 3, 2018
