Which zip code is home to the most money in the country? You might think it is somewhere in Silicon Valley or a suburb of New York. You would be wrong.
The richest zip code in America is 33109. Fisher Island, off the coast of Miami, Florida is the top spot when it comes to most wealth according to a Bloomberg analysis of 2015 Internal Revenue Service data.
That’s $1 million more than the second-place spot, held by zip code 94027 in Silicon Valley, also known as the City of Atherton on the San Francisco Peninsula.
Third place belongs to Florida as well with West Palm Beach taking the spot.
