Trump managed to dramatically increase the GOP’s share of the Hispanic vote in the 2024 election, especially in the South Texas area near the U.S.-Mexico border, where immigration-related crime spikes became a major issue. Could all that progress now be going away?
The Democrat Party and their allies in the mainstream media have spent months pushing the idea that Trump’s support amongst Hispanics has been dwindling, and they’ve backed it up with polls funded by other left-wing organizations.
According to reporting from Breitbart, one such poll was done by UnidosUS, formerly “La Raza,” and shows that one in four Hispanics who previously voted for Trump wouldn’t vote for him again.
April Aguirre, a crime victim advocate in the Houston area, says she’s happy with the work he’s done so far when it comes to crime. “Has he lost my vote? Absolutely not. Every time someone says, ‘Well, I’m displeased with Trump,’ I say, ‘Well, you would have been really displeased with Kamala. You might dislike Trump, but you would have hated Kamala,’” she said.
Aguirre did, however, acknowledge the success of the left-wing anti-Trump narratives that have been pushed by the mainstream media, saying: “The majority of people aren’t experiencing what is on the news; however, the news is a very powerful tool, and it’s definitely been used against Donald Trump.”
She says the Trump administration can push back against this narrative by simply sharing the truth about the criminal illegal aliens that have been taken off American streets and returned to their home countries to face justice.
