Border Czar Tom Homan Wants More Deportations As Story Falls Out Of News

The American people have not changed their mandate they laid down in November 2024. The people want mass deportations. Americans want millions of people, both illegal and some legal immigrants, sent back to their home countries. Americans want their country back and that means deporting tens of millions. So far, President Trump has delivered deportations, but it has not satisfied everyone.

Thus far, the Trump administration has deported 800,000 illegal aliens, with about 641,000 criminal illegals arrested by ICE during Trump's second term. But people want millions and feel that number is not acceptable. People, because "muh news did not tell me that" think nothing is happening. They fail to remember we have had net negative immigration for the first time in 60 years. If they do not see it on the news or Tik Tok, they think it is not happening.

But more can still be done, even as good as the numbers are currently. Border Czar Tom Homan, who has been at the forefront of the efforts, told the Washington Examiner recently that he wants more deportations. Homan said "Am I happy with the numbers right now? No, I want more too."

Deportations though were made difficult by virtue signaling social justice warriors in places like Chicago, Los Angeles and Minneapolis. The news media demonized the deportations, firing up the leftist base, which brought them out to protest and impede the efforts of officials to deport child rapists, murderers and gang members.

Another problem has been sanctuary cities, who have been taking action to bar their law enforcement agencies from cooperating with ICE. Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland says these numbers are okay, but the bureaucracy bogging down law enforcement is keeping things down.

"If our state law enforcement, whether it is in sanctuary cities or not, would work with ICE and these programs...that would help our communities out tremendously," he says.

Non sanctuary cities have been just as guilty. Houston has not described itself as one, yet the city council has taken action recently to at least curtail police abilities to notify ICE and get illegals in custody.

Congress stalling on funding ICE and border patrol in their reconciliation process has also not helped things, even if ICE has funds through the Big, Beautiful Bill.

But while the news cycle drifts into whatever else they want to scream about that day, the deportations are continuing. Just because the news cycle is not discussing it does not mean they have stopped.

"ICE officers are still going out, putting their lives on the line, enforcing the Immigration and Nationality Act...but the less it is in the news, the less we will see about it," says Cleveland" "Then when a bit of news comes out that we are not doing enough...then that will be the focal point, and people will throw darts at it."

Cleveland adds that, while it has become much stronger, we still have work to do in securing the southern border.

But as usual, the media is what drives the pulse of the country. If people do not see it on the news, they do not think it is happening. But they still are happening. Tens of millions must go, and the Trump administration is just getting started.
