RINO Cassidy Loses GOP Primary in LA; Trump Backed Candidate Advances

President Trump's Endorsement, LA. Representative Julia Ledlow leads the pack with 45 percent of the vote, followed by Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming edged Cassidy with 28 percent of the vote. Cassidy garnered 25 percent of the votes. Over 5 years ago Cassidy voted to convict Trump in his impeachment trial..."When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, you don't pout, you don't whine you don't claim the election was stolen." Cassidy said following his defeat.

Representative Julia Ledlow says she doesn't take it lightly, having received the endorsement. "You're not handed out an endorsement- you have to earn it, and it means everything to Louisianans. Trump's approval ratings are at 90 percent. We are huge fans of the President, and so yes- to have his belief and endorsement, means everything in this race." Ledlow said.

Letlow and Fleming will face each other in a June 27 runoff after no candidate cleared a majority. Cassidy becomes the first elected republican senator to lose renomination since Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana in 2012.
