WHCD Suspect To Remain In Custody Following Detention Hearing

Cole Allen, the man accused of attacking the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last weekend, was back in court Thursday for a detention hearing.

During the hearing, his attorneys did not challenge the DOJ’s request to keep him detained, and he will remain in custody as proceedings continue.

Allen’s attorneys did request that he be removed from 24-hour lockdown, which he has been under since his arrest, but that request was not granted.

His next court date is May 11, which is scheduled to be a preliminary hearing.
