Republicans say they are united in a new plan to fund the Department of Homeland Security.
House Speaker Mike Johnson says Republicans will pass the Senate bill that funds DHS, minus ICE, and Customs and Border Protection. This after Senate Majority Leader John Thune agreed to fast-track a reconciliation measure that funds ICE and CBP that wouldn't require Democrat support.
President Trump has endorsed the deal.
Even though the House and Senate are currently out on Easter recess, the measure could be passed through smaller pro forma sessions in both chambers on Thursday.
