President Trump said he is pausing planned strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure for 10 days as negotiations continue, setting a new deadline of April 6.

"As per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 P.M., Eastern Time," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The President added that "talks are ongoing" and claimed they are progressing positively "despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others." He said.

President Trump gathered the cabinet for a meeting earlier this morning as the Iran war moves into its fourth week.

Trump told the cabinet that the Iranian regime is now, "admitting to itself that they have been decisively defeated." He also says the regime is "begging" to make a deal with the United States.

Trump also directly called out other NATO nations, saying that this was a test for them, and warned that if they failed the test, the United States would remember.

The meeting also featured a Holy Week message from Vice President J.D. Vance, who wished a blessed Easter and Holy Week to Christian soldiers who are currently stationed and fighting in the Middle East.

This was also the first cabinet meeting for the newly sworn in Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who's department still remains unfunded thanks to obstruction from Senate Democrats.
