The Growing Push To Convert Texas To Islam

Even though 'Sharia law' has already been banned in the state of Texas, lawmakers plan to look even more at Islam during next year's 2027 Texas legislative session.

Some are warning the threat of Sharia influence in Texas is still alive and well, and growing.

"This has been going on for a long time, under the radar" said Dr. Carole Hornsby Haynes, a Texas based education and curriculum expert, "Islam is routinely and regularly interjected into the public schools in Texas."

And now it's up to Texas lawmakers to do more, to put a stop to it. Hopefully.

"I would say yes, but then will there be teeth in it? Because so many times we've had legislation that's pushed out, and they say they can't do anything because this violates freedom of religion" Dr. Haynes told KTRH, "But Islam is a ideology, it's a political movement."

And it's one that is growing across the U.S., and even here in Texas.

"If we back down, if we don't do something now coming together, this state is going to fall to Islam, and it's not going to be that long" noted Dr. Haynes.

It's why Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has already named 'preventing Sharia law', one of his priorities for 2027.
