The race for the midterms is now officially underway, and the choice that Americans will have on the ballot is crystal clear.
It's going to be 'America is awesome' vs. 'America is awful'. That's it, those are the two options.
"The Democrats have a strategy, and the Republicans have a strategy" said Kurt Schlichter, senior columnist at Townhall.com, "Donald Trump is bad, therefore you should vote with us, that's what they've done. And there's a problem with that."
It's a self-made problem for the Democrats, who have backed themselves into a corner.
"Democrats I think have a real problem, their election strategy is 'everything sucks, especially Donald Trump', and Donald Trump's strategy is 'I'm a nice guy and everything is awesome' Schlichter told KTRH.
The stark contrast for the two parties was on full display during the State Of The Union Address, where President Trump was able to highlight all of his first year wins, while the Dems showed America yet again, just how much they hate America.
"The Democrats have to double down on that, because they can't have America be wonderful if the point of their theory of why they should be elected is Donald Trump is terrible" noted Schlichter, "They are locked into negativity, and Trump can disrupt them by not being the Trump they need."
Trump just needs to continue winning for the next 9 months.
