President Trump announced the imposed tariffs’ trade policy he has implemented is paying off- to the tune of 78 percent. The US is still not in the positive, but it's evident the Trump White House is on the right track reflecting significant growth in the economy.
Friday, the Supreme Court ruled the president was not authorized to use the Emergency Powers Act to impose tariffs. Breitbart Correspondent, Todd Warner Huston, says the ruling isn’t stopping him.
“I think Trump used the Emergency Powers Act because he thought that would be the fastest way to get the economic results he was looking for. He’s got the evidence that its good- that’s what he says, and he’s just going to keep on going.” Huston said.
Huston suspects the ruling is just a bump in the road as the witch hunt continues. “Many presidents have used them (imposed tariffs) and have never been called on the carpet by any court, or any party, or any suing- only Trump is the one getting sued every 4.5 minutes.” He said.
He believes Trump is going to go back to the drawing board to find other ways to impose tariffs. Having imposed the tariffs, it is now clear his trade policies work- putting America’s economy in the right direction. “I’m also guessing Trump may still try for those tariff rebate checks he was talking about.” Huston said. Overall, he doesn’t think the ruling will make much of an impact. The tariff money collected will stay tied up in court. It remains to be seen if lawsuits will come to light.
