Gallup Calls It Quits On Presidential Approval Ratings

After nearly 90 years of conducting presidential polls and tracking presidential approval ratings, one of the big names - Gallup, is calling it quits.

"They were the gold standard for many, many years for presidential approval" said polling guru Matt Towery, chairman of Insider Advantage, "I noticed that their approval was beginning to really change. I thought it was a little bit off."

Like everything else, polling has changed. Gallup says they are stopping due to declining response rates and structural pressures inside the polling industry. Many believe that is an anti-conservative cop-out.

"Their old traditional way of making telephone calls to individuals was just impossible" Towery told KTRH, "People don't want to answer the phone because of Donald Trump, for fear for a lot of his supporters that they're going to be attacked."

And then of course there's the other side, which is TDS.

"We all struggle in the era of Trump" noted Towery, "You have to find a way to get to people, and all these swings I see, and a new AP poll that has Trump down in the mid 30's? To me, that's just silliness."

Rather than admit that their polls are left leaning and biased, and wrong, more polls are now just opting to pull the plug.
