The latest federal Government shutdown is in its third day, and likely won't end until Tuesday. Even then, it may not go as House Speaker Mike Johnson hopes

Democrat Christian Menefee has won the special election against democrat Amanda Edwards for Texas 18th congressional seat - filling mayor Sylvester Turner's vacant seat. The win threatens the Republican's majority- they currently control the chamber 218-213 — it will shrink by one seat when Menefee is sworn in to Congress. That could happen Monday.

Because of a winter storm that has crippled the Carolinas and Virginia, House members likely won't vote Monday. Even then, it appears as if Johnson can't lose any Republican votes on the deal made between President Trump and Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer.

As for Menefee; he didn't waste any time showing his leftist woke ideologies. "When I go into Congress, I am going to fight each and every day to impeach Kristi Noem, to tear ICE up from the roots and to fix this country's broken immigration system." Menefee said.

As newly sworn-in Democrats don't support the crackdown on illegal migration removing rapists and murderers from our streets, President Trump has announced the government will not assist blue cities with ongoing anti-immigration enforcement riots unless help is requested according to a Fox report.
