Due to the winter storm, school districts are starting to make their plans for next week public:
- Comfort ISD: The district announced all schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to inclement weather.
- Crystal City ISD: The district said that it will be closed on Monday due to the anticipated winter weather conditions. There will be a delayed start on Tuesday as classes will start at 9 a.m., according to the district.
- Cornerstone Christian Schools: They have announced a delayed start to the school day on Monday.
- Eagle Pass ISD: all EPISD classes will be canceled on Monday, Jan. 26, due to inclement weather. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
- Harlandale ISD: Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, the district has decided to cancel school on Monday, Jan. 26.
- Natalia ISD: The district said it was cancelling all weekend student activities, and plans for Monday to be a "normal operations day."
- North East ISD: At this time, Monday classes will continue as scheduled.
- Poth ISD: The district will be CLOSED on Monday, Jan. 26, including all school-related activities. A determination regarding Tuesday, January 27, will be made by Monday evening.
- San Felipe Del Rio CISD: Due to the forecasted winter weather threat, district officials announced all competition and extracurricular activities for Saturday are canceled. The district has also implemented a delayed start for students on Monday, Jan. 26.
- South San Antonio ISD: In a Facebook post, South San Antonio ISD announced that all schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to inclement weather and icy conditions.
- Lighthouse Public Schools: In a Facebook post, Lighthouse Public Schools announced that they would be closed on the 26th due to the anticipated weather conditions.
- Northside ISD: Northside ISD announced via their website that they would be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, but plan to resume normal hours on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
- Poth ISD: Poth ISD Superintendent Lee Byrom has announced that all weekend events, as well as classes on Monday, Jan. 26, have been canceled.
- UTSA: UT San Antonio will be closed on Monday.
- Alamo Colleges: Classes and services will be closed on Monday.
- University of the Incarnate Word: UIW has announced that all classes and activities on campus will be canceled.
- Alamo Heights ISD: Alamo Heights ISD has announced that all schools and facilities will be closed on Monday.
The following districts will also be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 26.
New Braunfels ISD, Texas A&M San Antonio, HARLANDALE ISD, COMFORT ISD, SOUTH SAN ANTONIO ISD, EDGEWOOD ISD, NORTHSIDE ISD
The Alamo has also announced that it will be opening later on Sunday and Monday. The Alamo will open to tourists starting at 12:00 pm on both days.
