An al Qaeda leader connected to the killing of two American servicemen and an interpreter last month has been killed in Syria, according to US officials on Saturday.
US Central Command says Bilal Hasan al-Jasim was known to have direct ties to the ISIS shooter who killed the three Americans in an ambush attack December 13th.
Al-Jasim was killed as part of a US military strike against northwest Syria on Friday.
CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper said in a statement, "There is no safe place for those who conduct, plot, or inspire attacks on American citizens and our warfighters. We will find you."
