The White House Is Moving To Stop Dems From ICE Detention Center 'Visits'

Hoping the second time will be the charm, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has issued another order requiring Congress to give a week's notice before visiting ICE detention centers.

The main reason why? The visits by the Democrats have not been about oversight, they just want sight in front of cameras.

"Just showing up to these detention facilities, pulling ICE officers away from their normal duties, and it's a publicity stunt creating a chaotic environment with heightened emotions" said Natalia Mittelstadt, reporter for 'Just The News'.

This is something that Noem tried to implement this last year after the Dems display at the New Jersey ICE facility.

"Noem had issued a similar one back in June" Mittelstadt told KTRH, "This is a similar memo, she's using a different legal basis."

And so are the Democrats, who have already filed a lawsuit to try and get around it.

"Her intent is to give ICE employees time to prepare for any Congress members coming to visit, and to make sure that it's actually oversight activities that are being conducted, and not a circus-like publicity stunt."

The new memo issued by Noem falls under the 'Big Beautiful Bill Act', and should stand in court.
