Two deputies were shot during a domestic disturbance on Sunday, leaving the shooter dead.

According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, a woman was at home with her two children when a man tried to force his way into the home. She was able to flee and call authorities, and when deputies arrived, they spoke to the man in a makeshift room.

The man produced a weapon, shooting one deputy in the hip and another in the hand. The deputies were able to return fire, shooting the man in the upper body and killing him.

The officers are at University Hospital, both in stable condition.
