2 US Soldiers and One Civilian Killed in an Ambush While on Patrol

In Syria-

At least two American soldiers have been killed while on patrol in the region. A civilian contractor was also killed in today’s attack near the town of Palmyra.

The Syrian state news agency said the gunman was also killed by ally forces.

The United States has about 1,500 troops stationed in the northeastern part of Syria as part of an effort to monitor remnants of ISIS.

The soldier's names are being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin notification.

"Let it be known if you target Americans anywhere in the world, you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you." Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, said.

This is a developing story.
