Houston-area businessman and philanthropist Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale has announced that he will be delivering 600 mattresses to families still recovering from the July 4 Hill Country floods.
The giveaway will take place on December 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition to the mattresses, the Gallery Furniture founder will also bring toys for children and their families.
McIngvale has already organized two other mattress giveaways for flood victims and first responders, making this the third.
To claim a mattress, you will need to bring an ID showing you live in one of several eligible zip codes. Those wishing to pick up a mattress are encouraged to bring a pickup truck.
All mattress sizes, from twin to king, will be available for pickup at the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department.
